This 20-year-old patient from Orlando, Florida who stands at 5 ft 7 was pleased with the shape of her breasts but thought that they were too small. She stated that she was an A cup and would like to be a small C cup. She is physically very active. She was really happy with the shape of her breasts but wanted them symmetrically enhanced.
Using dimensions during her consultation, determination could be made of what size implant would work best for her. This involved her trying on implants as well as consideration of breast tissue, thickness, and shape of the chest wall. Her body proportion, including her height, hips, waist, and shoulder proportions, were all taken into consideration. This dimensional approach indicated that a round vs. an anatomic or shaped implant would be best suited for her. The submuscular position was chosen to avoid implant rippling (particularly in the upper aspect of the breast) with a 300cc smooth, round implant.
The patient is thrilled with the shape and volume of her breasts. She stated that they look natural but full. She remains physically active with her clothes fitting well. She feels that she has achieved the body proportion she desired.
